Fastballs and Curveballs: How experiences 10 years ago shape my views of AI today

I wrote this in April on the Opening Day of the MLB season, when the San Francisco Giants were being shown on TV. I shared it internally at the time, but with a new blog, I'm reposting a slightly modified version here to share more widely. It discusses the parallels between an experience I had ten years ago, with the current world opportunities and challenges of AI in our craft.
